Licensing & Compliance
Our position is simple: winspin.bet (WinSpin) is an informational affiliate site for Canadian players. We are not a casino operator, we do not accept deposits, hold player balances, or run games. We publish guides, explain offers, and link to partner casinos. Any play happens on the operator's site, under that operator's licence and terms.
To be clear, WinSpin (winspin.bet) is a casino brand guide — not the unrelated “Casino Win Spin” slot game, not the WinSpin prize-wheel equipment brand, and not WinSpirit, which is a different Canadian casino brand.
What this site is — and is not
We are an affiliate guide
winspin.bet operates as a publishing and marketing affiliate under general publishing and advertising laws applicable to our place of operation. We do not hold or need a gambling operator licence because we do not offer gambling. Our revenue may come from affiliate commissions if you click through and play with a partner — this does not change our review approach, which is set out on how we review and about us.
We do not process payments, including Interac e-Transfer, and we cannot access your casino account. For account, payment, or bonus issues, contact the operator directly. See also contact and privacy.
What we do not do
- We do not operate WinSpin casino itself and we do not claim to be the operator.
- We do not issue or validate any operator licence number — we direct you to check the operator's site and the regulator's register.
- We do not set bonus terms. Where we mention the partner offer of 120% up to C$5,000 + 250 Free Spins, full wagering, minimum deposit, and expiry details are see partner terms.
How to check an operator's licence
Before you deposit, verify who actually licences the casino you are considering. Reputable operators display the licence holder name, licence number, and regulator at the bottom of their site, linked to the regulator's public register. We invent no licence numbers for WinSpin — always verify on the operator's site and the regulator's database.
Common jurisdictions you will see for sites serving Canadians outside Ontario's regulated market include:
- Curaçao — long-standing offshore jurisdiction for international casinos.
- Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) — EU-based regulator with public register and player-protection standards.
- UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) — primarily for the UK market, but often referenced as a benchmark for standards.
What to look for: the legal company name matches the register, the licence validates on the regulator's site, and terms, responsible-gambling tools, and dispute processes are clearly published. If you cannot find this information, treat it as a red flag.
Canada and Ontario — the distinction
Canada does not federally licence offshore-facing online casinos the way it regulates land-based gaming provincially. Ontario is the exception: since April 2022, private operators can serve Ontarians legally only when registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and operating through an agreement with iGaming Ontario. That is a closed, provincially regulated market.
Most offshore-licensed sites that accept players from other provinces operate under their offshore licence (e.g., Curaçao or MGA) and are not AGCO/iGaming Ontario-registered. That does not automatically make them legal or illegal for you to use — it means they sit outside Ontario's regulated framework. Understand which framework applies to you, check local rules, and only play where you are of legal age (18+ or 19+ depending on province).
Read our WinSpin reviewOur compliance approach
- We publish factual, checkable information and date it — see “Last checked” above.
- We do not promise winnings, alter game outcomes, or handle funds.
- We encourage you to read the operator's full terms and verify licensing before depositing. For any bonus beyond the headline, see partner terms.
- Questions about this site's role? See about, affiliate disclosure, and terms.
Is winspin.bet a casino?
No. winspin.bet is an independent guide and affiliate site. We review and explain offers for WinSpin and other brands, but all gaming, payments, and account management happen on the operator's licensed site.
Do you list WinSpin's licence number?
No. We do not invent or publish a licence number here. Check the footer of the WinSpin operator site you visit and verify it on the relevant regulator's public register. For general context on what to look for, see the jurisdictions listed above.
